Gulfood 2023

The 28th edition of Gulfood, one of the Middle East’s most prestigious exhibitions for the hospitality and catering sectors, was held in Dubai from February 20th to 24th. The exhibition provides industry professionals with an information and business platform with product innovations as well as the opportunity to exchange ideas with the exhibitors present. 

More than 5,000 companies from over 120 countries took part in Gulfood and we were also able to present our new innovations. 

As a licensee of Universal, we have already caused a sensation in the chiller cabinet with our Minions Choco Banana Milk Snack. Now the colourful Movie Superstars in the popular Choco variety are the next hit. Our Milk Snack Choco is particularly convincing with its light and airy whole milk cream, the delicate chocolate tongue inside the snack and its crunchy dark chocolate coating. This top product will appear at the POS on the milk snack shelf with designs that change every six months featuring the latest film releases from the Universal movie scene. The launch will feature the film heroes of the ever-popular Madagascar film series. 

We were also able to present one of our innovations, which caused a lot of discussion at our booth – the Milino Protein Snack. With the Milino Protein Snack, nothing stands in the way of an enjoyable snack without a guilty conscience – our chilled protein snack convinces with a light and fresh protein milk cream on an airy sponge cake, covered in a crunchy chocolate shell. It has a creamier and more indulgent texture than conventional protein bar alternatives and delivers 10g of pure protein per snack. 

Our other chilled snacks, be it the new Milk Snacks Honey or Choco with an improved recipe, also received very good feedback. 

With the Honey variety, we are now Halal certified and can thus meet the cultural requirements of an ever-growing market. The Halal product certification is of enormous importance as it is the most important dietary guideline for Muslims. 

In summary, Gulfood was a very intense, challenging, but also exciting and successful fair!
