ISM Cologne 2024

This year the International Sweets and Snacks Fair (ISM) took place again in Cologne from January 28 to 31, 2024. Over 1,400 exhibiting companies from 74 countries presented the latest trends and product innovations in the confectionery industry.

ISM once again proved to be an important international hub for the global confectionery and snack industry. In total, ISM attracted around 30,000 trade visitors from more than 140 countries.

Particularly attractive was the New Product Showcase, which is considered the central place for innovations and attracted expert visitors from all over the world. In this special exhibition the product innovations could be examined in numerous showcases. Our two innovations were also exhibited as part of the New Product Showcase and also provided plenty to talk about at our stand: the Milino Protein Snack and the Milino Coconutmilk Snack.

Milino Protein Snack is the first protein-bar in the chiller cabinet and an innovation in the chilled snacking sector. It has a much softer, creamier and more indulgent texture than ambient protein bar alternatives and delivers 10g of pure protein per snack(25% protein per snack).

The plant-based Milino Coconutmilk Snack is particularly convincing due to its fluffy, fresh coconut milk cream on airy sponge cake, with a crispy coating of dark chocolate. In the production of this chilled snack, palm oil, lactose, added flavors and ingredients of animal origin were completely avoided.

In terms of current trends, the ISM showed that consumer awareness of indulgence and health continues to grow. Healthier snack options, such as protein-rich products or the use of natural ingredients, continue to play an important role.

Our other top products, such as the Milk Snack Choco under license from Universal in the colourful Kung Fu Panda design or our classics Milino Honey and Milino Choco, as well as other licensed brands  such as the Milka Schoko Snack and the Oreo Fresh Milk-Snack were real crowd pullers at our stand.
